In a significant move for environmental preservation, the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEF&CC) has officially endorsed the names for a crucial 10-member expert committee. This pivotal development, aimed at precisely defining the boundaries of the ancient Aravalli hills, was communicated through an affidavit filed before the Supreme Court.

The high-powered committee is strategically constituted to ensure a comprehensive approach to its complex mandate. It comprises a diverse group of specialists, including both in-service and retired bureaucrats with extensive experience from key national organizations such as the Forest Survey of India (FSI), the Geological Survey of India (GSI), and the Survey of India. Complementing this administrative and scientific expertise, the panel also includes distinguished academicians, bringing a wide range of perspectives to the forefront.
